Introducing....Rancher's Recipes Wednesday

As many have read, @epicurious has decided that they will not publish beef recipes any longer. They say it isn't anything personal against the ranchers and the cattle, but yeah.....right. They are also getting hammered by our own government who, unfortunately, don't understand or don't want to understand that in most cases, it is our ranchers and farmers who act as stewards of the land. (Not factory farms.)

So here, on this blog, every Wednesday, starting next Wednesday, will be "Rancher's Recipes Wednesday", featuring a beef recipe, direct from the source. Our cattle ranchers. One ranch/family will be represented each Wednesday and will be providing a beef recipe for readers to try.

I hope that you will enjoy this new addition to The New Century Homesteader, and that you will continue to support our family ranches and farms throughout the United States. Many have added stores to their website where they sell all types of merch. Others ship their meats or take local orders by phone or online. There are many ways to support these families, including speaking out to our government in support of these families and against the stand the government...and some business.... is taking against them.

If you are a beef farmer or rancher, and you would like to be featured, please email me at thenewcenturyhomesteader@gmail.com for information.

Also, you can follow @thenewcenturyhomesteader on Instagram for updates and information as to all of our activities.

Tasty!

Trying out a new indoor grill today, and made grilled sweet corn. Yummy! About as good as actually grilling on the outdoor gas grill (but it still can't compare to corn grilled in hot charcoal coals).

Brush on some vegetable or canola oil, a little salt and pepper and 12 minutes on the indoor grill. Then a little butter......YUM!!!! (Still tender and juicy.........)
